Sox: 6 M's: 3
Is that brooms I hear? The Sox sweep the M's in extra innings. Buch had a better outing today than he did the last two starts, making it through the 5th and one out into the sixth. He left with score hung up at 3 and Masterson mowed down the eight batters he faced in 2 2/3 innings of relief. Master of the Pen? Time will tell, but he made a great start. Mikey and Da Mayor had some key hits in the 12th to put the Sox on top. Hansen made things interesting (read: scary) in the 9th when he loaded the bases and nearly walked in a run, but he pulled a Houdini via a groundout and pulled out the save.
Tomorrow's an off day and on Friday it's back to Home Sweet Fenway, a Sox-Yanks matchup and The Return of Big Papi. Now there's a reason to stay home on Friday Night!
