Tough week ahead for Ryan Westmoreland

My thoughts and prayers go out to Sox prospect Ryan Westmoreland, who will undergo brain surgery on Tuesday, March 16, to remove a cavernous malformation. According to Wikipedia, a cavernous malformation is a lesion with dilated blood vessels. Westmoreland is 19, a New England native, and was a 2008 draft pick for the Red Sox. Best wishes to Ryan and his family for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.
